LARC

Lyman Alpha Research Collaboration

A Cross-Institutional Research Effort

About LARC

Decoding the fundamental nature of matter in the universe using theory, observation, simulation, and AI.

LARC is housed at three Los Angeles institutions: University of Southern California, UC Riverside, and Carnegie Observatories. The collaboration brings together researchers dedicated to understanding the cosmos through cutting-edge computational and observational techniques.

Our Research Priorities

The organization pursues three main goals:

Dark Matter & Neutrinos

Understanding and characterizing dark matter and neutrinos - the invisible components that shape our universe.

AI & Simulation

Epistemological redefinition of learning in the era of AI and simulation - pushing the boundaries of computational cosmology.

Public Engagement

Deepening public ownership of cosmological discovery through game and interactive visualization.
