Research Focus

Decoding the fundamental nature of matter in the universe using theory, observation, simulation, and AI.

Our Three Pillars

Dark Matter & Neutrinos

Understanding and characterizing dark matter and neutrinos - the invisible components that shape our universe. Our research combines theoretical models with observational data to constrain the properties of these elusive particles that make up most of the matter in the cosmos.

Using the Lyman-alpha forest as a powerful probe of structure formation, we can place tight constraints on warm dark matter, fuzzy dark matter, and neutrino masses.

AI & Simulation

Epistemological redefinition of learning in the era of AI and simulation - pushing the boundaries of computational cosmology. We develop and deploy cutting-edge machine learning techniques to extract maximum information from cosmological simulations.

Our emulator technologies build models to interpolate between expensive simulations with different cosmological parameters using Bayesian statistics, enabling rapid exploration of parameter space that would otherwise be computationally prohibitive.

Public Engagement & Visualization

Deepening public ownership of cosmological discovery through game and interactive visualization. We believe that the wonders of the universe should be accessible to everyone, not just professional scientists.

Through partnerships with experts in cinematic arts, visual culture, and game design, we create immersive experiences that allow the public to explore and understand cosmological concepts in intuitive and engaging ways.
